The ODM Sticker Casing In Machine is an economical and compact machine that was designed with On Demand Binding operations in mind. The Sticker machine applies adhesive to the end sheets of a book block and positions the case made cover on to the book block.
With only 4 easy steps the Sticker Casing In Machine a necessary component to any bindery!
Step 1 – The book is placed on the wing while the Sticker machine is in the home position.
Step 2 – After the book is loaded, the operator depresses a foot switch that drops the wing below the glue rollers.
Step 3 – A servomotor then brings the two glue stations in contact with the book while the wing travels upward, applying a uniform coating of adhesive to the end papers.
Step 4 – As the book emerges from the glue pots the operator places the cover in position with a handy cover guide and removes the book from the wing, no make-ready time is required because this machine is self-adjusting!
The new and improved Sticker Casting In Machine features a “cover guide” especially designed for thin books. With the new ODM Sticker Cover Guide it makes the placement of thin covers a snap! This machine also saves production time, by eliminating the manual operation of ‘pre forming’ the covers and the spine portion of the cover is held in place with vacuum.
The ODM Sticker Casing In Machine is available in two models; the Sticker handles book sizes from 12″ x14″ x 4″ maximum to 4″ x 4″ x 1/32″ minimum and the Sticker XXL handles book sizes from 18″ x18″ x 4″ maximum to 4″ x 4″ x 1/32″ minimum.
